I Spy With My Little Eye...
I promise you there is a pond in there. I have been awful this latter par of summer at keeping up with my yard and pond. Soon it will be time to cut everything back and put up the netting. I miss my koi and am having a hard time enjoying my pond without them.

What happened to your koi?
Don't beat yourself up about "neglecting" the pond. This summer was just too damn hot.
And think of it with my philosophy: Practice judicious laziness. The critters like it a little messy!
Ahhh. Finally found a koi and pond person! What happened to your Koi? That's a beautiful photo of them.
Susan and Mary - I have no idea what happened to my koi. They were fine one day and belly up the next. All the goldfish were/are fine. It totally baffled me - they were 5 years old and were very healthy. There didn't seem to be disease or an animal attack, and all the pumps were working fine so oxygen was not the issue. It was very strange.
Thanks for the compliments Mary, they were beautiful - and very big. I popped over to your blog and saw some of your koi and my your pond is gorgeous!!!
